All animals were fed a high-fat (15% fat) diet for 8 wks. Blood chemistry and cholesterol were measured. After sac, a pathology review of livers and gallbladders was conducted. A collection of liver images is available as part of this project.

Procedures conducted:
• body weight  Baseline vs. high-fat diet for 8wks.
• lipid profile  Cholesterol, HDL, non-HDL. 4h fast, plasma. Hepatic lipids. 8wks on high-fat diet.
• metabolic panel  Alanine transaminase, bile salts (plasma) after 8wks on high-fat diet. 4h fast.
• histopathology  Gallstone, gallbladder, and atherosclerosis lesion histopathology after 8wks on high-fat diet.
• organ dimensions  Gallbladder volume after 8wks on high-fat diet.
• organ weights  Liver weight after 8wks on high-fat diet.
