Warranty disclaimer and copyright notice
THE JACKSON LABORATORY MAKES NO REPRESENTATION ABOUT THE SUITABILITY OR ACCURACY OF THIS SOFTWARE OR DATA FOR ANY PURPOSE, AND MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR THAT THE USE OF THIS SOFTWARE OR DATA WILL NOT INFRINGE ANY THIRD PARTY PATENTS, COPYRIGHTS, TRADEMARKS, OR OTHER RIGHTS. THE SOFTWARE AND DATA ARE PROVIDED "AS IS".

The Jackson Laboratory's web site privacy policy applies to all use of this resource.

The Mouse Phenome Database (MPD) is an NIH-funded data sharing repository and adheres to the NIH Genomic Data Sharing Policy.

MPD data contributors waive copyright and related rights, making their data freely available whereby MPD users may freely build upon, enhance and reuse those data for any purpose without restriction. Scholarly citation norms must be followed for content reuse.

It is expected that MPD users follow scholarly citation norms, giving credit to fellow scholars when accessing/using protocols and data, including data derived by MPD (such as summary data) and any plots, tables or screenshots depicting those data (see Citing).

It is possible for invalid or incomplete results to be presented on the MPD web site due to software bugs, data problems, or artifacts of human error. Data sets are not necessarily static; we reserve the right to post corrections and updates as needed. Updates are recorded in the MPD change log.

Users who store collections, preferences, or other data within the MPD application do so at their own risk, with no guarantee of permanence or fidelity.

Data contributors may request the addition of data to their datasets, but they cannot remove data once it has been made publicly available. For content contributed after January 1, 2016: If there is a request for retraction involving a particular dataset (whole or in part), MPD will continue to make the retracted data available in a downloadable file along with a suitable explanation, and this action will be noted in the MPD change log.

Any reproduction of JAX®Mice mouse images is prohibited without prior express written permission (see the JAX®Mice Terms of Use for details).

Prohibited use. Data contributors and data users may not use MPD in any unlawful manner, or in any manner that could impair MPD services, security or functionality. Automated usage (webcrawlers and similar) must observe each page's "meta robots" html tags and space requests by ≥ 2 seconds. We reserve the right to block any IP associated with what we consider to be excessive or abusive usage patterns, and/or to take any action we deem necessary.
