Supplier This study used 44 ILSXISS RI mouse strains (formerly called LXS) originally developed to analyze genetic variation in alcohol sensitivity. All procedures followed the guidelines approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and South Texas Veterans Health Care System, Audie L. Murphy Division, and are consistent with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Principles for the Utilization and Care of Vertebrate Animal Used in Testing, Research and Education, the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and Animal Welfare Act (National Academy Press, Washington, DC).
