Female mice (n =186) from 43 CC strains were obtained from other experiments or from the System Genetics Core at UNC-Chapel Hill. The female mice in the experiment were retired breeders and varied in life history and age. Mice were allowed ad libitum access to running wheels for 28 days.

Procedures conducted:
