Source of Mice: Mice from 38 CC strains were purchased from UNC Systems Genetics Core Facility (SGCF) between July 2012 and July 2016.

Age (wks): 8-12 wks at testing

Breeding: Female mice are generated from 46 CC-F1 crosses between the 38 CC strains, and mice aged 8-12 weeks at the time of the experiment were used for this study. F1 heterozygous animals are bred to generate a single experimental cohort with littermate controls.

Test Facility: UNC Chapel Hill

Feed: Standard feed ad libitum

Water: Water ad libitum

Light / Dark Cycle: 12:12h

Health Status and Monitoring: All mice are housed in a specific pathogen-free facility under standard conditions

Welfare-Related Assessments: Any animals that exhibited severe disease symptoms were euthanized immediately in accordance with IACUC endpoints

Care and Use Statement: Mouse studies are performed in strict accordance with the recommendations in the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals of the NIH; and at UNC as approved by Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) (Animal Welfare Assurance #A3410-0)
