Source Female C57BL/6J mice hemizygous for the 5XFAD transgene (B6.Cg-Tg(APPSweFlLon,PSEN1*M146L*L286V)6799Vas/Mmjax, Stock No. #34848-JAX) were mated to males from the BXD genetic reference panel (from University of Tennessee Health Science Center). As female B6.5XFAD mice are hemizygous, transgenic (ADtg) and non-transgenic (Ntg) F1 mice are generated.

 Experiments were carried out in accordance with the standards of the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC), as well as the recommendations of the National Institutes of Health Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals. The protocol was approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
