The effect of a high-fat high-sucrose (HFHS) diet was determined by measuring body weight. HFHS diet was administered at 4-5 wks of age and continued for 14-15 wks thereafter when mice were 18-19 wks of age. Body weight was measured about every other week. C57BL/6J-Chr6A/J/NaJ male mice were subjected to the HFHS diet along with parental strains C57BL/6J (susceptible) and A/J (resistant). Body mass index and body length were also determined for the chromosome substitution strain.

Experimental groups in this study:
• High-fat high-sucrose diet (HFHS)

Procedures conducted:
• body weight  High-fat high-sucrose diet for 14-15 wks
• body size and weight  Body length and body mass index after high-fat high-sucrose diet for 14-15 wks
