Ten measures of metabolic health such as body weight, BMI, blood glucose and insulin, plasma cholesterol, HOMA-IR, triglycerides, liver weight and triglycerides were assessed in susceptible C57BL/6J and resistant A/J male mice, fed either a control (chow) or a high-fat, high-sucrose (HFHS) diet.

Experimental groups in this study:
• Chow diet • HFHS diet

Procedures conducted:

• body weight		After 16 wks on high-fat high-sucrose diet.
• body size and weight		Body weight and body mass index after 16 wks of high-fat high-sucrose diet.
• hormone quantification		Insulin and insulin resistance after 16 wks of high-fat high-sucrose diet. Overnight fast.
• lipid profile		Cholesterol and triglycerides. Overnight fast, plasma. Hepatic triglycerides.
• organ weights		Liver weight after 16 wks of high-fat high-sucrose diet. Overnight fast.
