Acclimation & testing periods

Vendor	Mice were obtained at 5-6 wks of age from The Jackson Laboratory JAX® (Bar Harbor, ME)
Acclimation	3 wks in conventional, non-barrier facility at Oregon Health and Science University, Portland Oregon, USA
Ages	9-11 wks
Feed	Purina 5001 bought locally; ad libitum
Water	Tap; ad libitum
Housing	3 mice per cage (polycarbonate or polysulfone cage)
Bedding	1/4" Bed-o-cob
Photoperiod	12 h light (on from 0600 to 1800), 12 h dark
Temperature	22 ± 1.0°C
Health status	Mice were reported in excellent health
