Source	All mice were purchased from the Systems Genetics Core Facility (http://csbio.unc.edu/CCstatus/index.py) and housed in the Division of Comparative Medicine facilities at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Note that strain names are purposely not given the 'J' designation as they were obtained from UNC.
Ages	~9 mo +/- 4 wks of age
Feed	Envigo 2920 irradiated chow, provided ad libitum
Water	Provided ad libitum
Temperature	23° +/- 1°C
Humidity	Humidity controlled, but not specified
Housing	Mice in the experimental group were individually housed in standard cages equipped with attached running wheels; mice in control cohort were grouped housed
Photoperiod	12:12h light:dark cycle (lights on at 0700h)
Time period	Mice were born April to October 2015. The experiment was performed in 6 batches spaced approximately one month apart each.
Care and Use	All procedures performed within this experiment were approved by the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee
