Acclimation testing periods
All mouse strains were raised at The Jackson Laboratory JAX® (Bar Harbor, ME) 6-11 wks Standard NIH diet containing 6% fat provided ad libitum Acidified water provided ad libitum Same sex mice were housed three to four per cage in standard, polycarbonate or polysulfone shoebox cages with pine shavings 12 light 12 dark cycle 21 ± 1°C All animal procedures follow AAALAC guidelines and were approved by institutional ACUC.
