All animal protocols were reviewed and approved by the Animal Care and Use Committee at The Jackson Laboratory.

Health status
The vivarium at the University of Pittsburgh is inspected four times a year and found to be free of viruses and parasites, except for murine norovirus. All animal protocols were reviewed and approved by the Animal Care and Use Committee at the University of Pittsburgh.
