The "selenium sufficient" group was given selenium food supplement.

The "selenium deficient" group were not given any supplement and are naive mice.

Procedures conducted:

• body weight  Body weight curve 3 to 12 wks, control group.
• RNA expression profiling  Selenium regulation of selenoprotein enzyme activity and transcripts.
