Male mice were treated daily with either fluoxetine in water or just plain water and phenotyped for grip strength, tail suspension, and open field test over an age range of 4-13 wks. Bi-weekly body weights were also measured.

Experimental groups in this study:

Procedures conducted:

• grip strength  Forepaws and all paws.
• tail suspension test  Highly mobile, mobile, and immobile: time and percentage of time.
• open field test  Distance traveled, number of episodes and time in zones, stereotypy.
