Vendor Breeders were purchased from The Jackson Laboratory (JAX®, Bar Harbor, ME)
Ages Newborn at the start of testing
Feed Harlan Teklad S-2335 Mouse Breeder Sterilizable diet 7004; containing not less than:  17% protein, 11% fat, 3.5 % fiber
Water Tap water offered in bottles ad libitum
Housing 1- 2 pregnant females with 2 small litters per breeder cage
Bedding Harlan corncob bedding 1/18" 7092
Photoperiod 12:12 light:dark cycle
Humidity 30-45%
Temperature 16°± 26°C
Health Status Report of mice (screening for pathogens) performed on a bi-annual or quarterly basis, under approved protocol of the McGill University Health Center.
Regulatory compliance Animal protocols were approved by the McGill University Health Center Animal Care Committee and Ethics Committee and are in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Canadian Council of Animal Care.
