12 h light (off at 0900 h): 12 h dark; all testing was completed during the dark phase

Temperature
22 ± 2 °C

Mice were treated in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Canada Council on Animal Care, and the experimental protocol was approved by the Dalhousie University Committee on Animal Care.
