Studies of activity, behavior, and forebrain morphometry in two laboratories.

Purpose: To investigate the stability of behaviors, such as activity, anxiety, exploratory behavior, motor and spatial learning, and evaluate replicability of brain morphometric measurements, such as brain weights, corpus collosum, hippocampus and anterior commisures sizes, across inbred strains of mice in two laboratories (Portland, Oregon USA and Edmonton, Alberta CANADA).

There have been no updates or corrections to the dataset since it was first released in Jul, 2003

This study was conducted on the same set of mice rated for wildness and ease of handling (Wahlsten2).

Wahlsten1 data were measured at two different laboratories. The data were pooled to produce the above MPD measurements. More on comparability of results from the two laboratories.

Please note. Some strain means have N < 3 animals (click for table).

Some measurements were derived by MPD staff, based on supplied data (click for list).
