This cross is designed to identify the genetic loci regulating femur mechanical properties, geometric properties, and BMD in a cohort of F2 mice derived from intercross matings of (NZB/B1NJ x RF/J)F1 parents. Total of 661 female F2 mice with 94 genetic markers on autosomes were analyzed with pseudomarker version 1.02 in 2003-2004. For detailed protocols see Wergedal et al 2006.
