| Mouse SNPs – Welcome |
|
The MPD SNP collection covers 8+ million unique
genomic locations. Data are from a number of sources.
Genotype allele tables are provided by investigators or retrieved from public resources.
All SNPs are mapped to
NCBI mouse genome build 37.1
reference assembly (C57BL/6J) also known as the July 2007 (mm9) assembly.
This MPD SNP data build was posted Dec 2007 and
includes annotation from dbSNP 128, Ensembl 48, and NCBI extracted during Dec 2007.
Several data sets have been added since Dec 2007 including CGD1 imputed data (May '08), CGD2 Mouse Diversity Genotyping Array SNPs (Aug '09), and Chicago1 (Aug '09). Use the SNP wizard to access.

View SNPs along with phenotype strain means. Display selected phenotype strain means along with SNPs for specified gene(s) or regions. First, start at MPD's home page and locate phenotypic data of interest. Then invoke the Plots & Tools Wizard and choose the "Table or color grid" tool.

News / FAQData update – 2 Sep '09 – CGD2 mouse diversity genotyping array SNPs now available. 582,000+ locations, 72 strains. Data update – 2 Sep '09 – Chicago1 SNPs now available. 8,293 locations, 58 strains. Data update – 2 Sep '09 – Broad1, WTCHG1 (series), and IPATIMUP1 were reloaded using a revised technique that is able to associate more locations with rs numbers. Additional searchable genomic entities – 20 Feb '09 – Mit markers, microRNAs and QTLs (as extracted from MGI) have been added to our catalog.
Data update – 28 May '08 – CGD1 imputed SNP data set is now available. This data set is a mixture of actual and imputed allele data for 7.8+ million genomic locations mapped to Build 37, and includes 74 strains. To work with this data set, use our SNPs wizard (see top of page). A download file is also available. Tool improvements – 8 Feb '08 – More powerful filtering for finding polymorphisms for 2 given strains, or 2 sets of strains, or finding any variation in a set of strains. Data update – 21 Dec '07 – New build, based on NCBI build 37, dbSNP 128, Ensembl 48. dbSNP amino acid residue annotations are now displayed for coding SNPs. Data update – Oct '07 – New data sets Merck1 (Schadt) SNP data and IPATIMUP1 mitochondrial SNP data have been added to the database. Also, we've added 1143 previously omitted WTCHG1 (Oxford) SNP locations and 1215 previously omitted GNF SNP locations.
