Rating scale to assess ethanol-induced intoxication.

Purpose: The goal of this project was to test 9 strains of mice for ethanol effects at four different dosages (2.75, 3.0, 3.25, and 3.5 g of alcohol per kg body weight), and to assess the level of ethanol intoxication based on several parameters including line crossing, wobbling, and splaying behaviors for a duration of 45 seconds in four successive intervals (5, 10, 15, 30 minutes).
