Two tests of motor incoordination were used to measure ethanol intoxication in 8 inbred strains. Missteps, limb dragging, and hanging/falling were recorded for balance beam testing in groups of mice subjected to saline (baseline) or one of three doses of ethanol. Misstep data are adjusted to baseline data and are available for analysis. The grid test was conducted on 4 consecutive days; days 1-3 for habituation (saline only) and day 4 for one of three doses of ethanol. Day 3 and day 4 data are available for analysis. |
