Mouse strains
MPD has phenotype, genotype, and gene expression data for hundreds of strains. To see characterizations of a specific strain, or other strain-related information, enter the first part of the strain name into the MPD search box or use these options:

• Find data for a strain   Find mouse strains by name or stock number and access all MPD data for a certain strain, including phenotype, SNP/variation, and gene expression. You can also list phenotypes and probesets where a certain strain is a high-end or low-end outlier.
Find commonly requested strains:

• Find data for a specialized strain panel or set   In addition to classical inbred strains MPD has data for specialized strain panels. Use this approach if you're interested in one of these.

• Compare two strains   For two strains of interest see how they compare in phenotype, genotype, and gene expression.

• List all strains in MPD by amount of data present and by other criteria

MPD collects data for classical inbred strains, other fixed-genotype strains, derived lines and populations that are openly acquirable (strain panel examples). Strains can be from JAX-Mice or from any other vendor that's a recognized breeding source. Investigators looking to test a diverse set of classical strains should consider our MPD priority strain set. We currently don't subsidize or assist with mouse procurement for projects.
