Johnson KR, Erway LC, Zheng QY Assessment of age-dependent hearing loss in 51 inbred strains of mice

Four ABR threshold measurements were taken per mouse, in response to four different audible sounds. The first measurement was for a click; the second for an 8kHz pip; the third for a 16kHz pip; the fourth for a 32kHz pip. The results are presented here broken down by mouse age. Early onset of hearing impairment occurs at age < 13 weeks. Later onset of hearing impairment occurs at age ≥ 13 weeks.

Study design: baseline survey; 2 cohorts.
