The strains DBA/2J, C57BL/6J, C57BLKS/J, C3H/HeJ, DBA/1J, CBA/J, and SJL/J are represented using standard nomenclature here even though mice were not procured directly from The Jackson Laboratory. The publication states:
Pathogen-free mice were obtained from the following sources:

129/+Ter/Sv (129), BALB/cAn (BALB), DBA/2J (D2), C57BL/6J (B6), C57BL/ KsJ (BKs), C3H/HeJ (C3H), FGS/Nga (FGS), FVB/N (FVB), and KK/Ta (KK) from Clea, Japan (Tokyo, Japan).

DBA/1J (D1), CBA/J (CBA), and SJL/J (SJL) from Cheirus River, Japan (Yokohama, Japan).

ALS/Lt (ALS), SWR/J (SWR), and NZO/HILtJ (NZO) from The Jackson Laboratory (Bar Harbor, ME).
