Project Drug study: High-fat diet plus subchronic alcohol-induced effects in males of 14 inbred strains of mice

The effects of high-fat diet on alcohol-induced liver injury were assessed using an intragastric intubation model. Urine alcohol content was monitored daily. Mice were evaluated for endoplasmic reticulum stress response as well as lipid and one-carbon metabolism. There were 2 cohorts: (1) mice fed high-fat diet only; (2) mice fed high-fat diet plus alcohol.

Study design: all mice subjected to an intervention; 2 cohorts.
