Purpose: The objective of this study was to assess the therapeutic potential of a novel compound (L-DOPA) to inhibit the onset and progression of cell loss and development of Parkinsonian pathology in an acute model of MPTP (1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine) induced Parkinson Disease using using 9-wk-old C57BL/6J male mice.
