Automated use (web-bot, web-crawling) is not an appropriate or
efficient method for scientific users to get bulk data from MPD...
use the download center or contact us
for assistance... phenome@jax.org
Automated, unattended use can overload MPD's resources and hamper the work of real live users, which isn't fair.
Automated use of MPD's genotype-related resources is prohibited. These sectors of MPD
are data-heavy, have a very large number of url-addressable entries, and usually not of interest to indexed-text search engines.
Contact us at phenome@jax.org to discuss specific options.
For MPD's phenotype sector search engine spidering is allowed if
web crawlers hit our site at a reasonable rate (no more than once every 20 seconds)
and observe standard robots tags such as noindex and nofollow.
Known web crawlers will be served abbreviated content on data-heavy pages.
In addition, if automated usage
patterns are detected we reserve the right to block (or serve abbreviated content to) any IP address.
Thank you for respecting these guidelines.
