Additional Terms. Please be sure you understand the following before using this web site:
The Jackson Laboratory's web site privacy policy
applies to all usage of the Mouse Phenome Database web site.
Most data presented on this web site are
voluntarily contributed by researchers from a variety of institutions and settings, or in some
cases retrieved by us from open public sources.
These data are provided "as is". The Mouse Phenome Database group and/or contributing investigators
make no representation about the suitability or accuracy of these data for any purpose and make
no warranties either express or implied. The authorship and identity of contributing investigators
must be adequately cited and not obscured, omitted, or otherwise misrepresented.
It is possible for invalid or incomplete results to be presented on the MPD web site due to software
bugs, data problems, or artifact of human error.
Corrections or additions may be made to contributed data sets over time.
Important bug fixes and data updates are recorded in the MPD change log.
MPD provides various data displays, analysis tools, precomputed mathematical correlations,
and other derivations of contributed data.
These are made available for exploratory scientific use without implying that results have
any particular biological or clinical significance.
Independent redundant experimental validation is strongly recommended for findings of particular interest.
All correlations available through MPD are mathematical correlations provided for exploratory use, and are not necessarily biologically significant.
Additional forms of validation are required.
Most correlations are based on strain mean data points which have varying degrees of quality, preciseness, and normality of distribution,
and this is generally not taken into account in correlation strength metrics.
Automated MPD site usage (webbots etc) is restricted, click here for more info.
